I founded iz(trace) as a space for work that does not need to begin as either academic research or a commissioned design brief. It gives me room to follow a question, observation, or spatial condition on its own terms, allowing the form of the work to emerge through the process rather than be decided in advance.
On this map, iz(trace) sits beside Research and Architecture & Design rather than beneath either one. It is where questions can move between research, field observation, mapping, and spatial work.
